During a lengthy career in the theatre, Richard has played parts as varied as the Wicked Queen in Snow White, and the hapless king in Marlowe’s Edward II
Richard has written and regularly performs three 50-minute one-man shows exploring what might have happened to some of Shakespeare's best-loved characters in the years following the end of the play which featured them. He has performed these at venues all over the UK as well as in Canada.
In Winter 2021, Richard was in a highly praised panto for which The Stage said 'Richard Curnow’s Rosy Posy is the ultimate show-stopping, scene-stealing dame.'
